TechBridge Supporters Raise Impact with 5th Technology House in Partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity |
Atlanta – April 23, 2009. Atlanta-based TechBridge, a nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofits use technology to increase capacity to serve our community, is pleased to announce that construction is starting on its fifth Technology Habitat for Humanity House. Continuing a legacy of proactive and tangible impact in our community, twelve TechBridge corporate supporters have joined together to build a new home for a deserving Atlanta family. Construction will begin on April 24, 2009 at the home’s site on Lawton Street in Atlanta. The project is slated for completion on June 13, 2009. Corporate sponsors for TechBridge’s 2009 Technology House with Atlanta Habitat include: AGL Resources, CCCi, The Coca-Cola Company, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, GE Energy, LexisNexis Risk & Information Analytics Group, NASCO, Pyramid Consulting, Sapient, Southern Company, Synergis and Vertex. Through a sponsorship program facilitated by TechBridge, the corporate sponsors contributed more than $75,000 to build the technology community’s Atlanta Habitat house and will each provide volunteers to complete the project. In keeping with the technology theme, the home will be outfitted with a family laptop upon completion, donated by GE Energy. “A Habitat build is a great way for IT professionals to network and for companies to promote team building all while doing tremendous good in our community,” said TechBridge CEO, Kathleen Kurre. “TechBridge is proud and honored to facilitate this project and showcase the generosity of the technology community in such a tangible way.” About TechBridge About Atlanta Habitat for Humanity # # # # Contact Information: |
