Aventis Systems Donates new Dell Server to Hosea Feed the Hungry |
ATLANTA, Georgia – August 26, 2010 – Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for Hosea Feed the Hungry (HFTH). Afemo Omilami, Programs Operations Manager of HFTH, was joined by Walt Carter, COO of TechBridge, to accept the generous donation of a new server from Aventis Systems, Inc. Karl Pearl, Vice President of Aventis Systems, proudly presented the new Dell PowerEdge tower server to Omilami at the HFTH facility in downtown Atlanta. “Every donation is a step closer to what we need to do for the people who depend on us. We can’t do it without the technology…we need the technology,” expressed Mr. Omilami upon receiving the donated server. The new Dell PowerEdge tower server will replace an older Dell server that did not have sufficient hard drive space to run HFTH’s essential business applications. This new server will be used to run QuickBooks and their donor management system leaving plenty of space to add more programs in the future. HFTH was able to acquire this donation from the outstanding work that TechBridge provides to the nonprofit community in Atlanta. TechBridge is a nonprofit organization that provides other nonprofits with affordable technology services, helping these organizations become more efficient and focus on their missions. HFTH is one of over 100 nonprofits that TechBridge serves in the Atlanta area. After sponsoring the 2010 Digital Ball in May, Aventis Systems was inspired by the TechBridge mission and wanted to get more involved with helping nonprofits in the local community. Donating hardware equipment directly to one of the organizations that TechBridge serves was an easy decision for Aventis Systems. “One of the great things about our work is an opportunity like this to provide direct value to a member of our nonprofit community from one of our TechBridge sponsors. This particular server from Aventis Systems is a significant upgrade in capacity from the previous machine and will help us achieve a key milestone in rebuilding the technology infrastructure for the great people at Hosea Feed the Hungry,” comments Mr. Carter from TechBridge. Mr. Pearl responds, “We were privileged to partner with TechBridge on this initiative. The server we donated to HFTH will allow them to focus on fulfilling their mission: to rescue, restore and re-stabilize at-risk and homeless individuals and families so they can thrive and become self-sufficient. Our owner, Hesam Lamei, and our company proudly stand with TechBridge and HFTH in wanting to make a difference in people’s lives.” Click here to watch Karl Pearl presenting HFTH with their new Dell server.
